Cat Dropper, a product operated by Kakeya Group LLC ("we," "our," "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, handle, store, and share your information when you use our website, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Services.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service. Any breach of this Privacy Policy also constitutes a breach of our Terms of Service.

Chrome Web Store User Data Disclosure

Cat Dropper handles user data. This section discloses user data collection, handling, storage, and sharing. None of these sections is omitted.

User Data Collection

We collect the following user data:

• Account data you provide: username, email address, and a hashed password.
• Payment-related data processed by Stripe (we do not collect or keep full credit card numbers).
• Usage and device data: features used, actions in the workspace, browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URLs.
• Chrome extension data from marketplace pages you open while using Cat Dropper: product title, price, images, identifiers, description, and listing or order information needed to research, list, or fulfill items.
• Optional Auto Fulfillment data you enter locally, such as an Amazon card billing address.
• Cookie and similar data used for login, preferences, and website analytics.

We do not collect general browsing history. We only read marketplace pages relevant to the Cat Dropper workflow you start.

User Data Handling

We handle collected user data only to operate Cat Dropper’s single purpose: helping you research products and prepare or fulfill your own listings. Handling includes:

• Creating and authenticating your account.
• Showing research, listing, and fulfillment tools in the website and Chrome extension.
• Processing subscriptions and sending account, billing, and (if you opt in) product emails.
• Using product text you select to generate listing titles or descriptions.
• Preventing fraud, securing the Service, and responding to support requests.

We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for unrelated advertising. The use of information received from Google APIs, if any, will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

User Data Storage

User data is stored as follows:

• On your computer: the Chrome extension stores login state, research results, listing drafts, fulfillment settings, and (if you enter it) Amazon card billing address in Chrome local storage. Billing address is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to Cat Dropper servers.
• On Cat Dropper servers: account data (username, email, hashed password), workspace data needed for your listings and fulfillment, and limited usage logs for security and troubleshooting.
• Payment records: stored by Stripe, not as full card numbers on Cat Dropper servers.

Data in transit is sent over HTTPS/TLS. Account data is kept while your account is active. Usage logs are kept for a limited period, then deleted or anonymized. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable time, except where law requires retention.

User Data Sharing

We share user data only with the parties below, and only as needed to provide the Service:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscriptions (stripe.com/privacy).
• OpenAI — product titles and descriptions for listing assistance. We do not send account passwords or payment details to OpenAI (openai.com/policies/privacy-policy).
• Legal authorities — if required by law or to protect Cat Dropper or others.
• A successor company — if Cat Dropper is merged, acquired, or sold.

We do not sell user data. We do not share user data with advertisers. Marketplace sites you visit (Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Poshmark) have their own policies; Cat Dropper does not sell or give them your Cat Dropper account data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed password through Cat Dropper authentication. Payment details are processed securely by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers or full payment information on our servers.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Cat Dropper website and extension workspace, including features used, actions taken, and general activity patterns. We also collect standard device and browser information (browser type, operating system, IP address, referring URLs) for security and analytics purposes.

Chrome Extension Data

The Cat Dropper Chrome extension injects scripts into marketplace pages you visit while the extension is active. Specifically:

• On Amazon and AliExpress pages: the extension reads product data (title, price, images, identifiers, description) from the pages you visit in order to facilitate listing those products.
• On eBay and Poshmark pages: the extension interacts with listing and order interfaces to help create listings and assist with fulfillment on your account.
• The extension uses storage, tabs, scripting, and related browser permissions to perform its core functions.
• Product data retrieved from source pages may be transmitted to Cat Dropper servers and/or to OpenAI's API (for title or listing assistance) as needed to perform the service. See the Third-Party Services section below.
• Amazon card billing address, if you enter one in Auto Fulfillment, is stored only in Chrome on your computer and is not uploaded to Cat Dropper servers.
• The extension does not capture or transmit general browsing history or activity outside of marketplace pages relevant to your workflow.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and core functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Services.
• Analytics cookies: Used to understand how users interact with our website so we can improve it.
• Preference cookies: Used to remember your settings and preferences.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect certain features of the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Authenticate your identity and maintain account security.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, waitlist updates, billing notices).
• Send service updates, feature announcements, and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time — see Section 7).
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.
• Respond to your support requests and communications.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Stripe — for payment processing and subscription management. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• OpenAI — the Chrome extension may send product data (titles, descriptions) to OpenAI's API for AI-powered listing assistance. OpenAI's privacy policy is available at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. We do not send personally identifiable account credentials to OpenAI.
• Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Cat Dropper or others.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

All third-party service providers are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

• Account data (username, email): retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to handle support requests, legal obligations, or security needs.
• Usage and activity logs: retained for a limited period for security, troubleshooting, and analytics purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
• Payment records: retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
• Extension-retrieved product data: used to perform the listing and fulfillment service; retained only as needed for your workspace and the transaction.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption, access controls, and security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Sensitive data in transit is encrypted via SSL/TLS. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on Cat Dropper's servers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you via email within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.

6. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at developer@catdropper.com.

7. Email Communications & CAN-SPAM

We may send you transactional emails (account-related notices, waitlist approval, billing) and, if you have opted in, marketing or promotional emails about new features and updates. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by contacting us at developer@catdropper.com. Transactional emails are necessary for the operation of your account and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Restriction — request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Objection — object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing.

9. GDPR — European Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, the following applies:

• Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data on the basis of (a) performance of a contract — to provide the Services you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement; (c) legal obligation — where required by law; and (d) consent — where you have provided it (e.g., marketing emails).
• International transfers: Your data may be processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers (Stripe, OpenAI) operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border data transfers.
• Supervisory authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

Please note that while Cat Dropper's Services are officially supported for US and UK eBay accounts, users in the EEA retain all applicable GDPR rights.

10. CCPA — California Users

If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share about you.
• The right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
• The right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party platforms (eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, Poshmark). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through or alongside our Services.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page, update the effective date above, and/or notify you by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
